Myanmar Witness collects, analyses, verifies, and archives evidence related to human rights incidents and violence in the conflict in Myanmar. The project provides reliable information to diverse stakeholders including civil society, media and advocacy organisations and initiatives, as well as to justice and accountability mechanisms holding perpetrators to account.
Children continued to be harmed throughout Myanmar's 2025-2026 military-led election period. Myanmar Witness documented 214 child casualties across 96 reported incidents, which highlights the ongoing risks children continue to face in conflict-affected civilian areas.
Myanmar Witness has created a number of maps in order to help researchers, journalists and CSOs explore evidence related to human rights incidents in Myanmar and see patterns and trends that have emerged since the coup.
