Airstrikes have been a major feature of Sudan’s conflict since April 2023, but reliable information about where and when they occur is often difficult to find. To help address this, Sudan Witness developed the Sudan Airstrikes Hub – an interactive platform that maps and analyses reported airstrikes across Sudan.

Drawing on open-source information–including local reports and media, satellite data and videos uploaded to social media–the Hub provides the most comprehensive public dataset available on SAF airstrikes in Sudan. Each incident is assessed using Sudan Witness’ rigorous methodology, which analyses the credibility and reliability of each source reporting an airstrike, as well as the extent to which reports can be corroborated with verified open-source information.

The Hub allows users to explore where airstrikes have been reported, identify patterns over time, and examine their documented impact on civilians and essential infrastructure. While gaps in reporting mean the picture is incomplete, the Hub is a resource for researchers, journalists, humanitarian actors, and others seeking to understand the scale and impact of SAF airstrikes in Sudan.
