Myanmar Witness collects, analyses, verifies, and archives evidence related to human rights incidents and violence in the conflict in Myanmar. The project provides reliable information to diverse stakeholders including civil society, media and advocacy organisations and initiatives, as well as to justice and accountability mechanisms holding perpetrators to account.
Using flight tracking data, call signs and satellite imagery, Myanmar Witness has gathered evidence indicating that Czech company Let Aircraft Industries, part of Omnipol, may have supplied the Myanmar Air Force with three Let L410 UVP-E20 aircraft.
Myanmar Witness has created a number of maps in order to help researchers, journalists and CSOs explore evidence related to human rights incidents in Myanmar and see patterns and trends that have emerged since the coup.
